HYPER MEGA WEEKEND WHATEVER

Jump to Comments Heidy-ho, campers. Remember when I used to do late Monday night updates about the weekend and said Monday, and then write another upadate on Tuesday about how I forgot to go to Student Council? Mmmm. Now, it’s like three days late or something.

So, on Friday, instead of having Honors NT, we had chili for lunch over at Dr. Cochran’s house. He’s such a nice guy, you know. It was pretty darn tasty, and we had cornbread, too. I had sweet tea, because I didn’t want to have water, and apparently nobody drinks carbonated beverages at home down here. That is some whacky stuff, that sweet tea– even with all that sugar, it’s still bitter. Oh well. Did I mention that Dr. Cochran is a nice guy? Also, cornbread.

I don’t think we really did anything Friday night. I think I slept, or something. Mmm, sleep.

Samstag rocked. Dude, it was so awesome. It was totally sweet. Dusty and Zach and Megan and Dan and myself went to Little Rock to celebrate my birthday (a week late), and it was totally awesome. We went to dinner at the Outback in North Little Rock, which was such a tasty. Took some pictures; I’ll have them up when I get back home, since the Internet here sucks like school.

After that, we went to go see The Last Samurai at a theater in Little Rock called The Rave, which is like the awesomest theater ever. I really don’t understand why it’s in some nowheresville like Little Rock. Enormous amount of screens, stadium seating, etc.

By the way, that movie is incredibly awesome. If you haven’t already seen it– I hate you, and the only way you can make it up is to drop everything and see it right now. I mean, it’s just unimaginably awesome. So awesome, I’m no longer looking forward to watching The Return of the King so much anymore. The first two LotR movies were awesome, but, you know, every other movie that came out during that time frame pretty much blew, so there was no real comparison. RotK will have to be like four times the awesome of the other two movies put together to have the general awesomeosity of the previous ones, due to the context of The Last Samurai. I bet that last sentence didn’t make any sense. Tee-hee.

Sunday was fun. Absolutely nobody– not me, not Dan, not Megan, not even Lance– woke up to go to church for some reason, so I hit it up in the evening and such. The rest of that day was spent not doing much, because there’s never much to do on Sundays– the Caf has really stupidly irregular hours, Chik-fil-a is closed, etc, blah blah.

Monday rocked, I think. I busted a cap into my English Final– everybody seemed to enjoy my reading of my essay, entitled “IS IS”, which I will post with all the rest of my homework when the semester ends. My IR test also seemed to go over pretty well, and I knew almost all the vocab terms off the bat, so I’m feeling pretty good about it. I ended up taking a nap at like 6:00 or 7:00, and waking back up at eleven, and ended up watching Pitch Black in crappy fullscreen VHS (it was apparently all Hastings had at the time) with Dusty and Zach. For a Vin Diesel movie, and for a sci-fi movie (as opposed to real science fiction), it was pretty good. I ended up staying up till like three in Dan and Lance’s room watching Dan play Sim City 4 as Lance studied for his psych test.

Tuesday was, like the previous days, most excellent, since I didn’t have any finals at all, and slept in till like 11:40 or something. When I woke up, though, I found that I had somehow pulled the fitted sheet off my matress, which was really odd. I then went to lunch, and acted a fool all afternoon. Megan brought me her guitar at like 3 or something, since she can’t take it home on the plane for lack of proper packaging. For some reason, I carried it around all evening as if it were my baby. I still haven’t figured this one out. Watched another Vin Diesel movie, Knockaround Guys, which was okay. But it had the Mafia in it, which made it better. Went to dinner at the Caf with the regular suspects, and the food sucked, unsuprisingly. After that, Dusty and Megan and I all went to the Library to study for Bible tests, which wasn’t particularly fun, but, you know, it’s all good in the parenthood. After we were all done, I departed back for the dorm while Dusty and Megan went off to suck face for a few minutes, I’m sure. Then everybody studied in Zach’s room for a while, and we all got sick of it and ended up making crank phone calls for a few minutes, which we quickly decided was far too juvenile, so we went back to studying, and then I wrote this blog.

The end.
