The connecting arm on my headphones broke. These were the best headphones ever created by man. Some idiot stepped on them or something when they fell off the hook I keep them on. I’m not very happy.

Given that they are regularly kept on these hooks, and given that hooks are generally mounted on a wall or infrequently-moved piece of furniture, I’m willing to guess that the idiot you speak of was either a roommate, a roommate’s friend, or yourself.
