File’s –– err –– Finals done!

Jump to Comments Now there’s an obscure reference. I feel fairly confident about the results. I know for sure that I have a 99.7 in Earth Science (down from 100.6 before the final, man that hurts! XD) We didn’t have a final in Fortner, and I’m pretty sure I got an A on every final except French, which I feel was more likely in the B category, and maybe the Foreign Policy final, as I felt a little shaky on the multichoix part (come on, it was 8 AM, like I remember which Asian name with too many consonants is which. How the heck does one pronounce ‘Ngo’ anyhow?). Going home tomorrow today.

  • IIRC, it’s either “No” or “Nu” and it’s Vietnamese but shows up in some Chinese names here or there. Pinyin (and other East Asian Latin-alphabet-utilizing styles) have got nothing on romaji, which in turn has got nothing on simply learning the native alphabet. *soupir*

I had the same problem with the historic name of Canton, Guangzhou. (Apparently, the English-speaking world’s pulled a Petrograd on us and gone back to calling it Guangzhou. Cool.)

Could you please e-mail me when you get the chance? Title can be whatever, body text can be whatever. Thanks.

Oh! Almost forgot! I get the reference! Since I don’t want to spoil it, I will post a hyperlink to a Google search of the answer. 🙂 (click!)
