Monthly Auspice Chart, December 2007
Nonsense like horoscopes and the Kabbalah have a certain level of currency in American culture these days. As you may or may not know, I have my own vein of pseudo-serious numerological superstitious frivolity. I’ve been contemplating for a while making the whole thing into an elaborate mockery, and I had a bit of an epiphany during lunch today. Five minutes in Illustrator, and now to the Internets I release the very first monthly auspice chart. I’ll leave the interpretation up to the reader; I have papers to write.
Decembers are always hexagons, but this one especially. Wrapping up the auspice cycle for this extra auspicious year, note the indicated highs, and don’t forget do consider the monthly doublet, which is always most auspicious in December. the twelveâ€â€twenty-seven this year is the second-most auspicious of this century, so make sure to think happy thoughts and look for good license plates at 12:27 PM Eastern Standard.

My room number at college is II7… which is also the roman numeral 2 followed by 7. Conspiracy? I think not!
