In 2003 […] I felt like we had all fallen into this really creepy alternate Earth — like the “bad Earth” where […] we were going to Iraq and Paris Hilton was successful and like everything was just wrong, [….] I thought there was an Earth next to ours where […] we weren’t in Iraq and Paris Hilton had be eaten by wolves — everything was just wonderful, [….] And now it’s 2006 and I feel like we’re still in that same parallel universe, but now it’s become a “wacky” universe, where it’s … kind of fun… it’s like “on our planet, Arnold Schwartzenegger runs California, torture is legal and spinach is poison!”

On our planet the real news comes from comedy journalists the government keeps trying to bail out the car companies as they continue to implode.
