When it comes to hauling books, blue canvas and dark leather are classic and classy. I just ordered this messenger bag from Gap, seeing as my fake-milspec M51 Engineer’s bag fell apart a few months ago. Time will tell if it will win my heart away from my battle-damaged LL Bean messenger bag / backpack. It a shame that the latter went out of production ages ago; nobody makes a messenger bag with backpack straps anymore.
