  • So, according to IGN Film, the Critic DVD set got the ahaft, which is pretty sad but not altogether unexpected. They say the video shows signs of lack of love, and the audio is downright terrible. However, there are two things that make me think I’ll look into this:

    1 – it’s the Critic, duh
2 – unlike Internet-attained Critic, this set comes with a DVD that has every single “Coming Attractions” ever done, back to back. I for one would watch that many a time.

  • Yeah, uh, it’s a good encode for a film master that’s probably been sitting in a warehouse for a decade. I mean, there’s ocasionally little dots and stuff, but it’s film issues, not DVD stuff. It’s certainly better quality than it wever was when it was broadcast, or any kind of tv-to-divx you might find on the ‘Net. It’s no Family Guy, though, and I don’t think there’s any ‘special features’, either, but who cares, eh? And I don’t know what IGN meant by the sound being bad, it’s dolby digital on the back, but, sure, it’s not DTS 5.1 or whatever. But, you know, it’s a cartoon. From Nineteen Ninety-four. It wasn’t effing surround-sound to begin with.

  • Sounds good, then. Not like I wasn’t going to buy it anyway, but perhaps now I’ll buy it sooner rather than later.

(btw, you *still* have the tape)

  • Do not.
