Well, besides Nazzy; I’m sure he’d still read it even if I only posted every six months and then only about how much Japanese cartoons suck, since he’s just that level of most excellent.

I think on the Lamb Generalized Rating Scale, the recent past would rand somewhere around +4.5 (YES+ or YES) or +5 (HOORJ).

Aw dangit, Karl just went to sleep. I’ll finish this tomorrow.

“If you post it, they will come.”

So far, your blog posts have evolved into more-or-less “Ben’s experiences”. Which is fine to an extent. But if you are experiencing reader disinterest, maybe it’d be best to throw in some posts of the sort that fall under “Ben’s Thoughts”. Thoughts on popular culture (movies, music, etc.), thoughts on the deep stuff (religion, politics, economics), or thoughts that are fluffy and even perhaps esoteric (“I like shorts. They’re comfy and easy to wear.”)

This-a-way … when you DO post a “Ben’s experiences” post, the readers are already here, and they’re likely to reply. So if you want feedback on your life, you need to keep posting Ben’s-life posts … but I guess your method of ~100% Ben’s-life posts hasn’t worked too swell.

Although … I think this post is probably very silly of me, as blogging probably isn’t THAT reducible (in a scientific sense) to some kind of magical formula.

I guess I could always say this — the highest traffic blogs on the KBE & Affiliates are (in order) Jay Fuller, and then Matt and me ~the same level of business. So I guess you could possibly look for common elements between our three blogs … or something. O_o
