Home Counties
The Home Counties are the historical and economic core of the nation-state of Chezia. Home Counties is synonymous with "six counties"; in addition to including the six counties I Hamilton, II Venotet, III Marion, IV Traverse, V Hendricks, and VI Logan, it also includes the independent city of Cheziame.
One of the most populous and prosperous regions on the Northwest Continent, the Home Counties contain the political, financial, and academic capitals of Chezia.
History
While the concept of Chezia and of "Chezianness" have existed for several hundred years, only the Home Counties have consistently been territorial and culturally coterminous with those ideas. It is likely that the Home Counties existed in some manner since the Trek; however, they were only normalized and unified under Iantensky Kerr Chezirsky in 0032. The current county boundaries were fixed for the most part early in the Fourth Dynastic Period, though changes in the course of the Pazarma and growth of Cheziame have countinue to change them slightly.

Geography
The six counties lie entirely on the Upper Plain, bounded by the western foothills of the Shedzarian Mountains to the east, the Mandalian Plateau to the south, and the fall line of the Lower Plain to the west. The Inner Chasian Sea lies to the north. The six counties are bisected by the Pazarma, whose delta is hugged by Cheziame.
